"My favourite snail is the Golden Apple snail because it is a gentle giant. My Golden Apple Snail has never been any trouble, it feeds of the algae, and never eats any of the plants in my aquarium. This creature is very humble."

"Your shop was an inspiration to us to start keeping apple snails and they've been a wonderful part of our life ever since! We also found your support very helpful when finding our feet and learning to keep our snails happy, and its always great to know we can get snails from you and they will be delivered safely and healthy, that they've come from the best start, and we can always get a response to any problems :)"

"This is a picture of our yellow brig, Goldie. She lives in this log, and in the day we sometimes see her trundling past the holes upside down, or poking her head out. You only see her in her full golden glory very late at night when she comes out in the pitch black to explore - she is truely mysterious! She also came to us from very bad conditions and we got really attached to her, watching her begin to grow and get healthy again.

Thanks for your time,
Jenny & Saimon

"This is 'Gary', the Golden Apple Snail who is now mommy to 500 babies! Snails are an interseting addition to a tank and are easy to look after, they make great pets for kids and now every little boy I know has had a snail off me!"

Alice Huckfield

"This is my apple biggest apple snail; i love his bright colours, Apple snails make such a fantastic addition to any aquarium they are great fun to watch and if you are lucky enough to get a pair they may even breed for you!"

I hope you enjoy the photo :)

Laura Cody

"This is my favourite snail, its a DSP Brig and is called Silent Bob (although I actually think its female). I like this one the best because its really active and its colours are lovely."

Thomas Gallacher

"I rescued this guy when he came in on a plant and was half crushed as you can see with good health and care his cracks have healed up nicely recently. he is now around 2 inches."

Kevin Khun

"This one is one of the first red cherry that I had. It posed for the photo as a model, a thing that no other shrimp ever did for me. Yet she is  alive, though already she is old, but still she is the star of my shrimps' tank."

Arnau Ribera

"Here is a photo of my purple striped apple snail playing on the bubble tube of my biube. Both my apple snails love going round and round the top where the bubbles come out :)

I am new to snail keeping and love the snails I bought from the Snail Shop!"

Amy Newcombe

"Hello everybody, I'm here to present my apple snail: I don't know how to call it because I don't know the sex..
The best thing that I ever see is when "she" plains from the top of the tank down to the ground, it's amazing!!"

Ciao!

Natalma

"Hello snailshop.co.uk. I would like to introduce one of my pair of Giant striped apple snails (Marisa cornuarietis). This is my favourite of all my apple snails due to its distinct flatened shell, its cream and speckled brown body and its love for any vegetable food. This picture shows my Giant holding her/his own against a yellow sucker mouth loach at feeding time which is her/his favourite (blanched Mediterranean cucumber). The whole meal will be consumed within 24hrs leaving nothing to contaminate my tank. Together with his/her breeding partner I am now expecting a whole army of these tank cleaners from the various eggs they have left around my aquarium."

Mike Railton

"This is a photo of my mum and baby Pink Apple snail (Pomacea bridgesii). She is my favourite snail because her shell is always so lovely and shiny. I fostered her from my son's tank when she was just a baby herself. Now look, she has a baby of her own!!!!!

Michelle Victoria Railton
"These two apple snails are my favourite because they are always so lively. You never see them just sitting around, always on the move, and always cleaning up. Wierd yet wonderful."

Kevin Kuhn
